After seeing off-the-shoulder tops and dresses just about everywhere this season, I knew that it was only a matter of time before one of them ended up in my closest. I’m NOT into spending a lot of money on trendy pieces so it was a little bit of a struggle finding a dress (and a top) that was high quality but at a low price-point. Que Nordstrom for the win, as usual. This dress caught my eye because of the bright color, fun tassle detailing, and the fact that it had a slip liner underneath; plus at under $45 it fit my budget too!

Last week when preparing for 6 days at my parents’ new place in Texas, I packed this little gem because it rolled up perfectly into my carry on! I broke it out for dinner in historic downtown Denton at the cutest little Cajun joint. There are SO MANY amazing spots around the Denton Town Square, so I can’t wait to be back there for Labor Day to shoot some fun looks and to see the family, of course! I borrowed these (old) Steve Madden wedges from my mom’s closet and added one of my favorite new clutches by Clutchline.  {Check out their Etsy shop online…their selection is great and they do custom orders with super quick turnaround times!}

This is my newest off-the-shoulder top and I’m also loving this, this, and this!

With 4th of July weekend just around the corner, I thought I would round up some of my favorite items. I love any excuse to dress festive, so getting to break out some fun red, white, & blue items gets me excited! Our tradition for the past few years includes going back to Kyle’s small […]

About 2 weeks ago I posted my first review on Blue Apron’s Meal Delivery Service, so I thought it was time to recap the second meal from our delivery. Up on the menu was Arepas de Carne Molida and I was definitely excited about this one! Anything remotely Spanish/South American and I’m in. I’ve never […]

One of my top priorities when getting dressed in the morning is being comfortable. There is no point in constantly picking at, pulling up, or tucking in whatever it is you have one. The ability to be practical and transitional is key for me and when I saw this t-shirt dress I knew it hit […]

Ever since Target began doing designer collaborations, I’ve been on-board {until Lilly Pulitzer but that is a whole separate topic}! So when they announced their collab with Peter Pilotto I was thrilled. Having the ability to actually afford some of his amazing pattern-work, intricate design, and over-the-top color combinations made me super excited! I hit […]

First things first, I’m NOT a shorts girl. I was never gifted with long, lean legs but instead ones that are quite stocky even after averaging 25-30 miles of running each week. So a huge shout-out to my genetics! But shorts…not usually my favorite piece of clothing to wear because their either ridiculously short or […]

I like jeans. I like jeans a lot. And when I say a lot, I mean a LOT. I’m always on the look-out for a pair of cute skinnys, obnoxiously shredded boyfriends, or a great high-waisted flare to add to my ever-growing collection. One thing I do lack in the denim department is a good […]

One of the biggest trends in food right now are home delivery services, companies that claim to ‘make cooking easy.’ While I’m actually a huge fan of cooking meals at home for Kyle and I (and now Cassidy for the next few months☺), I’ve noticed that what I cook has become less creative and I’m […]

Reds are universally flattering and such a great deviation from the colors that we all usually wear on a day-to-day basis.  While you may be a bit hesitant to go bold for just any occasion, something simple like this tank or these heels are a great way to introduce the vivid shade into your wardrobe. Everyone […]

If you love fashion, there is a 99.9% chance you’ve seen Emma’s Dress. The minute I saw it this on Free People’s Instagram page, I went looking for it. Unfortunately for me, this pink color was initially sold-out. Unfortunately for me now, this color is now fully in-stock AND is $60 less than when I […]
