After seeing off-the-shoulder tops and dresses just about everywhere this season, I knew that it was only a matter of time before one of them ended up in my closest. I’m NOT into spending a lot of money on trendy pieces so it was a little bit of a struggle finding a dress (and a top) that was high quality but at a low price-point. Que Nordstrom for the win, as usual. This dress caught my eye because of the bright color, fun tassle detailing, and the fact that it had a slip liner underneath; plus at under $45 it fit my budget too!

Last week when preparing for 6 days at my parents’ new place in Texas, I packed this little gem because it rolled up perfectly into my carry on! I broke it out for dinner in historic downtown Denton at the cutest little Cajun joint. There are SO MANY amazing spots around the Denton Town Square, so I can’t wait to be back there for Labor Day to shoot some fun looks and to see the family, of course! I borrowed these (old) Steve Madden wedges from my mom’s closet and added one of my favorite new clutches by Clutchline.  {Check out their Etsy shop online…their selection is great and they do custom orders with super quick turnaround times!}

This is my newest off-the-shoulder top and I’m also loving this, this, and this!
