I love the Farmers Market. Something about local entrepreneurs coming together to sell everything from veggies to jewelry to clothing to jams & honey just makes me happy. I could roam the market aisles {in Omaha’s case, 3 ‘wings’} for an entire morning just hearing the various vendors share their excitement for their products. Yesterday morning we headed to the Aksarben Farmers Market in search of some fresh produce, berries, and baked goods and ended up successfully finding everything I needed plus some delicious hot sauce, a bottle of wine, and specialty soap. I guess even in the case of a farmers market you end up leaving with more than planned. 😉

With the weather being a bit chilly/heavily overcast with some occasional misting, I built my outfit from boots up. Sure it wasn’t full-on raining but these Hunters kept my feet warm and allowed me to wander about without worrying I would ruin a nice pair of shoes. I swear by these year round and while the price is a bit steep for wellies,  they’ve been totally worth the investment. Plus black goes with EVERYTHING so I have no excuse for them not matching what I’m wearing on any given day. Knowing it wasn’t that cold out, I added my oversized cut-offs and this sweater that I have debating buying for a while. Glad I pulled the trigger because it is so incredibly soft but light enough in weight to make it a great pre-Fall piece. No look, cloudy or not, is complete without sunglasses right?! So obsessed with this Givenchy pair. I’ve rented them via DITTO and am highly considering the ‘buy’ option. Thoughts!?

By the way, have you all heard of DITTO?! If not–check them out immediately! They offer sunglasses at $19/mo. and prescription eyeglasses at $29/mo. and have some of the trendiest eye-wear pieces for both women & men.

As we hesitantly tip-toe our way into the fabulous Fall season my wardrobe becomes a bit less bold and color-filled. During the warmer months I love mixing florals with gingham (like this & this!) and unexpected textures in vibrant hues; however as the days shorten ever so slightly, the more daring side of my fashion […]

My love for reading books is nothing new. This love started when I was young, before I can really remember actually. I use to watch my dad buy new books from Barnes & Noble and wait until he was finished to get my chance to read whatever he had picked out…this is probably where my […]

Weekend wear for me often consists of white v-necks, denim, and a simple pair of flats. An outfit like that is so easy to amp up with a fringe sandal or a statement necklace and can go from mundane errands to drinks and beyond. High quality, well-priced white t-shirts {post to come on the best–and […]

Growing up as the oldest of 4 girls, I sometimes took for granted how great it was to have 3 built-in best friends. I went through a {short} stage of thinking I was a little too cool to hang with them but MY-OH-MY have times changed. Now, instead of sharing big news or the latest […]

My body wants it to be Summer all day, every day, but recently my heart has been longing for Fall. Something about being able to sleep with the windows open, Football season, and the changing colors make me feel a sense of calm. Plus, can we talk about some of this Fall’s biggest fashion trends!?! […]

Eating healthy is incredibly important to me. I {try} to eat as natural and unprocessed as possible, but like every normal person I do slip up from time to time. One of my favorite things to do to get me reset after I feel like I’ve fallen off the wagon a little bit is juice. […]

Ahhh, black. The most figure-flattering and universally-loved color out there. I am a huge fan of black, regardless of the season, for its functionality as well as its ability to instantly add a touch of sophistication to any outfit. When I’m traveling by air, I like to wear dark colors in order to slim down […]

Clearly I am someone who loves being comfortable and practical while also being as fashion-forward as possible. I am also someone who is a {major} sucker for a good sale. Some people view a good sale as something that is ‘cheap,’ say under $20, while I gravitate towards a good sale in which there is […]

There will always be one or two fashion trends that you see on the runway, or even on the streets, that you totally fall in love with. There are also those trends that you admire from afar thinking ‘they’re great’ but just won’t work on you for one reason or another. The full-body jumpsuit was […]
