My body wants it to be Summer all day, every day, but recently my heart has been longing for Fall. Something about being able to sleep with the windows open, Football season, and the changing colors make me feel a sense of calm. Plus, can we talk about some of this Fall’s biggest fashion trends!?! From fringe details on everything to capes & ponchos galore to pieces in beautiful marsala hues–I am loving it all! Not wanting to wish away these precious last few weeks of gorgeous weather, though, I am keeping my boots packed away and my favorite cardigans in the closet for a little while longer. In the spirit of keeping my wardrobe fresh yet versatile, I scooped up this adorable short-sleeve number knowing it gave us the perfect ‘fall-esque’ vibe while still playing it cool. Rebecca Minkoff has some of my favorite apparel & handbags, not only for their quality and craftsmenship, but also for the unique and fun tone they have {I mean how cute is this top and this hobo?!}.
As the humidity has slowly started to fade and the nights dip in temperature every so slightly, I have been reaching for pieces that add an extra later of warmth without threatening to overheat me. A utility jacket is spot-on for that exact purpose. Neutral in color, with an incredibly unexpected satin panel in back, this light trench goes with absolutely anything. Paired with low key skinnys, a contrasting neutral muscle tank, and cognac accessories, the look screams casual weekend getaway. I definitely see this statement piece becoming a repeat offender in my everyday life. I’m already putting together outfits in my head for future wear; like over this solid swing dress with booties for Girl’s Night and with black skinnys and a black henley to break up a solid pairing.
