Weekend wear for me often consists of white v-necks, denim, and a simple pair of flats. An outfit like that is so easy to amp up with a fringe sandal or a statement necklace and can go from mundane errands to drinks and beyond. High quality, well-priced white t-shirts {post to come on the best–and worst–I’ve found!} are hard enough to find as is, so finding an ‘elevated’ white t-shirt is even harder; and that is where Free People stepped in. Rarely have I found an item of theirs that wasn’t spot-on and this ‘Easy Tea‘ Short Sleeve Sweater did not disappoint. The viscose/cotton mix makes it super comfy and despite going with the smallest size they offer (XS), it still has the drapey fit I tend to favor.

Deciding I wanted to breathe some life into my usual white-tee uniform, I paired with a {much} lighter colored pair of skinnys than I’m used to and added a white pump. While these pumps are not exactly practical for walking around too much on the weekends, they brightened both my outfit and my mood. To keep in sync with the blue & white palette of these basics, I broke out my new navy Messenger tote. The luxe feel of this bag adds a little texture to the get-up! Plus it is easily becoming one of my favorite pre-Fall purchases 🙂
