Whoever said wearing white after Labor Day was a faux-pas clearing didn’t realize how great it can make an outfit look when worn correctly! I haven’t always been brave when it comes to wearing white denim, regardless of the season, but after seeing Jennifer ofShopping Bags & Travel Bags {who I’ll be doing a super fun, joint-post with on Friday!!}repeatedly rock them, I felt inspired. So when I saw this tassel-front sweater on a weekly email blast, I immediately went to my local F21 in search of it, imagining it paired perfectly with these DL1961 skinnys already in my closet . With no luck, I sent my mom to her closest store in Frisco where she was able to track it down and was kind enough to pay for it. 🙂 I adore the uniqueness of the tassels and appreciate the way the oatmeal color keeps it from being too bold, and love that it adds an unexpected edge to an otherwise basic crewneck sweater.
Wanting to continue with the muted color palette, I added suede wedges and my tan tote. Though the sweater is a bit more on the casual side of the style scale, I think I’ll be able to pair it with a pair of burgundy pencil pants and heels for a strong office look. I’m also excited to combine it with my newest pair of destructed denim and lace-up booties for an effortless vibe. Forever 21 has a great selection of inexpensive, cozy sweaters like thiscardigan, this deep v-neck, this mockneck, and this perfect crewneck. At just under $25 I’m quite tempted to get this cutie tassel look in its black version, too!
