This week I have the privilege of teaming up with Be Yourself, a local Omaha (and Lincoln!) clothing boutique that I dare you to walk into and not want to purchase at least 50% of their inventory! Founded in 2005 by sisters Jennie O’Dell and Kim Vasey, Be Yourself’smission and ultimate goal is to make every woman feel beautiful in their own skin. If that isn’t a message you can get behind, I don’t know what is!? In an effort to promote self-esteem, Be Yourself doesn’t use traditional sizing methods like we’re all use to but instead utilizes a color-dot system that allows you to focus on how you ‘fit & feel’ in your clothes and not what ‘size’ is on the tag. With their shop carrying everything from basics to cocktail dresses to outwear, shoes, jewelry, accessories and pretty much any and everything a girl could need or want. For all you lovely ladies who aren’t within an arm’s reach of one of their 2 Nebraska boutiques, worry not; Be Yourself is currently working on launching their online shop {coming soon!} but in the meantime, you can shop their Instagram and they will ship to wherever you are located! 🙂
Ok, onto this outfit, which is pure perfection in my opinion! With the exception of my suede booties, everything is straight from Be Yourself’s Omaha location. I’m seriously beyond thrilled that flares are so hot right now but finding a pair that fit my 5’4.5″ frame and ‘thicker’ thighs just right has been a major struggle. Enter these slightly distressed, dark wash gems. They’re SO comfortable, make me feel good about how my booty looks, and are the right length with a 4″ wedge. That they require no tailoring and are only $71? Icing on the cake. Now, can we talk about the incredible sweater ($49.50) I have on?! Softest thing I own. It’s just the right combination of sweet & edgy with a mix of textures and the neutral palette make easy to throw over any top. The plaid ($41) that I paired it over is an unexpected silky/sheer material that is unlike my typical plaid shirts. The burnt orange brightens up the top and plays perfectly with the chestnut color of my wedges. Topping everything off with a long pendant necklace ($12) and fun cocktail ring ($10), I can wear this entire look out & about for a Saturday afternoon of shopping and can transition right into dinner and drinks without having to change a thing. Ease, comfort, and style all in one; my favorite combo!
