Sometimes we find pieces of clothing that are totally different than anything we own so we pass them by without much thought, even though they may be perfect for us. With my current wardrobe consisting of mostly neutral tones, lots of cowl necks & oversized tops, and distressed denim, I have been making a conscious effort to try and diversify the new items I purchase. That being said, if I find an inexpensive, comfy grey tee, I’m obviously going to have to add it to my closet next to the 10 others. 😉 Case in point: this tee that was just too perfect to pass up. In Nebraska, ‘Sweater Weather’ is about half the year so I am always keeping my eyes open for cute knit options. On my most recent visit to local-Omaha boutique Four Sisters, I spied this polka dotted sweater and without hesitation, {or trying it on} purchased it. I’m super-sensitive to wool/wool blends and was a bit nervous about it when I got home but I have been really surprised by how soft and cozy it actually is!

Getting back to dressing a little more seasonally-appropriate after my last post, I paired this fun sweater with the best black skinnys I have found this year and a simple kitten heel. To bring a punch to an otherwise basic color palette, I pulled this RM crossbody out from the back of my closet and loved the way it brightened everything up. I’ve recently worn the polka dot gem with wide-leg pants to the office and boyfriend jeans for brunch. Despite its bold pattern, it’s versatility is endless!
