Spring is just around the corner, right?! I bought bright yellow Daffodils for the house yesterday which means yes. If I close my eyes to smell them I can almost feel my skin getting bronzed and the warm breeze in my hair, but when I reopen my eyes that warm breeze is dishearteningly replaced by a 35+ mph sustained wind out of the West/Northwest. There’s a rumor that these beyond annoying winds are bringing in a possible snowstorm. BYE, SNOW! We do NOT want you anymore. I actually broke up with the idea of frigid weather about 2 weeks ago so like my crazy ex, it needs to stay in the past. This weekend was a whirlwind but in a great way! I got to spend all day Saturday with 2 of my 3 sisters setting up and decorating the nursery of my FIRST NEPHEW! Eeeek–I am so excited to be an Aunt and love on the little guy! ūüôā Sunday I took my first ever Pilates Reformer class {I am already sore!} and meal prepped for my first go at the Monday Glow Guide. Stayed tuned for coming-soon posts with my feelings on both the workout and the guide!

Ok, so onto this outfit. I’m seriously in LOVE with the entire combination. I was able to wear this getup to dinner last week and it gave me all the positive feels. I absolutely love the candy pink stripes in this long sleeve¬†{that is on sale!} and how it brightens up an otherwise basic look. I’ve adopted the ‘white denim anytime’ rule and like that I’m able to get use out of this great pair of DL1961s that would have otherwise sat on a shelf in my closet until the proverbial ‘after Memorial Day’ time. The material is just thick enough and just stretchy enough to feel like a second skin and I like how the look cuffed–like I styled them in these photos–just as much as I like them unrolled with a fun pair of wedges. I know some people have an aversion to investing in white denim since many will not wear them as often as a dark pair, so I found these, these, and these as more budget-friendly options. I can easily see myself wearing versions of this outfit to an al-fresco Brunch, Farmer’s Market run, or even to work on Casual Friday because it has so much versatility. Adding a denim jacket, studded flats and a neutral tote make this appropriate nearly year-round and fulfills my¬†dreams of Spring perfectly!

Typically I steer clear of overly bold patterns or clothing pieces that are really loud. They use make me a bit nervous and if/when I would¬†wear something more noticeable, I was¬†always wondering if people were¬†looking at me like ‘what the heck was she thinking!?’ That nervousness has diminished to a mere afterthought now that I’m […]

It is no secret to anyone that grey is my color. Kyle is quick to comment every time a new grey sweater comes in the mail or he sees me pop the tag off of a grey v-neck tee. No apologies here. Sometimes you find something that is so you and you just stick with […]

I’m someone who typically wears minimal jewelry. About 75% of the time you’ll find me accessorizing my outfits with what I dub my ‘essentials’ that include my wedding ring, pearl & diamond studs, this Infinity ring, and a gold bar necklace that Kyle had engraved with the coordinates of Anna Maria Island {where we got […]

Between the time I took these photos on Sunday and today’s post, about 95% of this snow has melted! I could not be more excited to finally see sidewalks exposed because that means my mornings are the treadmill are coming to an end. YAY! It won’t be long until my outfits from Monday, Wednesday, and […]

As Athleisure becomes more well-known as both a word but more importantly as a fashion trend, I am continually on the lookout for pieces that fall into that category to add to my wardrobe. My focus is usually on items that fit seamlessly into my active lifestyle while maximizing comfort,¬†fit¬†and functionality. One of my favorite […]

My favorite part of blogging over the last 9-ish months has been all of the awesome people I’ve ‘met’ and connected with. I’ve been pushed creatively and inspired by a community of like-minded and drive individuals that continually fuel my passion for what I am doing; and I couldn’t be more thankful! Along with creating […]

For my last Valentine’s Day look I wanted to do something show-stopping. Not everyone is like me and wants to stay in wearing an outfit like this and others venture out on dinner dates dressed like this quite often, so they’d prefer to amp it up a bit on this special day. Girls, I definitely […]

After Monday’s post I just wanted to clarify that I definitely do not hate Valentine’s Day and I totally do not hate love. I LOVE love actually. I just think we should tell our significant others and those that mean a lot to us how much we love and appreciate them on a daily basis […]

It’s interesting the way our view changes on holidays like Valentine’s Day as we get older. I’ve never been one to give the day much thought because as cheesy as it may sound, I think love should be celebrated every day. I also don’t think your love for someone is measured with a dozen roses […]
