I hope y’all had FABULOUS Easters and were able to spend time with the ones you love most! I’m so thankful that we are able to say ‘CHRIST IS RISEN!’ I also have to apologize for not getting this post up on Friday as my first nephew, Palmer Chet, made his way into the world at 2:04am on Friday, March 25! God is SO good! He is doing so great and my sister Haley & brother-in-law Adam are doing well, too! He’s PERFECT. Now onto my recap from Omaha Fashion Week‘s Designer I Showcase…

What girl doesn’t love a fashion show!?

Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend the Thursday night showcase for Omaha Fashion Week as a VIP guest with my girlfriend Gina. Despite living in Omaha for 4 years I have actually never attend OFW so I was eager to see if it would live up to its hype. As the 5th largest Fashion Week in the nation, I can honestly say it was everything I expected and more! The designers were top-notch and I could definitely see some of the pieces that went down the runway in my own closet.

The night started off in glamorous fashion for Gina & I and we couldn’t have been luckier. We began our show-prep at Stephanie Moss Salon in Omaha for blowouts and styling and both of us were in LOVE with our finished looks. *If you live anywhere around Omaha and haven’t been into Stephanie Moss Salon, go immediately. The salon is beautiful inside and Stephanie & her team are absolutely amazing* After we got the royal treatment on our hair we headed back to my house to get dressed. And drink Chardonnay, obviously. 😉 Our outfits were provided by Four Sisters Boutique–another local gem. Good news though, you can also order Four Sisters’ pieces online now too!!! We cannot thank both of these amazing businesses, founded by women who totally embody the #girlboss mindset that I so admire. Without them our night would’ve been much less pretty!

Once we were dolled up we took advantage of the Valet and headed straight into the host location, the Omaha Design Center. The decor was everything! Purple backlighting, giant crystal chandeliers everywhere, and people dressed to impressed really set the mood. We grabbed cocktails and wandered around looking at some of the designers’ pieces that were available for sale along with some local shops showing off some of their inventory. As the lighting dimmed we made our way to our front row seats as the show began. We got to see 6 designers in total and I loved every minute of it. There was such excitement in the atmosphere that you couldn’t help but have a smile pasted on your face the entire time {though I’m sure the lipstick I was wearing also forced the smile, HA!}. I had the BEST date for the night and seriously had so much fun! I cannot wait for Omaha Fashion Week’s Fall shows but I will remember to have one less cocktail if I attend another Thursday night showcase 😉
