Off the Shoulder tops are everywhere right now.

Ever sine this trend came onto the scene full-force last year, I’ve been a major supporter. Showing off toned shoulders is subtly sexy but also conservative enough for nearly any location or event. With so many variations of the cold shoulder look, it is almost impossible to not find something that fits with your personal style and aesthetic. Wanting a bit more coverage? Just testing the waters with a bare shoulder? A top like this one would be a great starter piece! Maybe you’re a bit more daring and feel comfortable rocking a more exposed look then check out this dress. So cute & such a fun print!

With so many so many options, there’s something in everyone’s budget.

Because I personally believe this look to be quite trendy, I’m careful about how many of these pieces I’ve been adding to my closet as well as the price tag on each of them. I try my best to reserve ‘splurge’ purchases for classic pieces that will last for a long time. A neutral boot, timeless trench, structured handbag, and a great fitting pair of dark denim are all OK to spend more $$ on in my mind. With that mentality, I’ve spent my time searching out affordable retailers like F21, H&M, Target & Asos to fulfill my wants for this Off the Shoulder trend {for the most part ;-)}. I rounded up some of my current favorites under $75: this red stunner, this flirty lace option, a simple black top that matches everything, this floral-print midi dress that is perfect for a summer wedding & this versatile denim dress. You really can’t go wrong! If you do have the ability to spend a little more on a cold shoulder piece, I’m obsessed with this dress, this top, and this romper.

I cannot get enough of THIS print!

When I first noticed this top hanging in the window at Evereve, I actually thought it was just a regular 3/4 sleeve top and was initially attracted to it because of its unique print. Once I realized it was OTS, I snatched it up and headed straight for the fitting rooms. I was sold instantly. It’s a completely different look from my other cold shoulder tops and because of the elastic around the neckline, it can actually be worn on my shoulder as well for a totally different look. Hence my reason for titling this post ‘Chilly Shoulders’ and not ‘Cold Shoulders’ since I can warm my shoulders up with an adjustment of the elastic if I so please! 🙂 I paired this fun top with my go-to distressed denim & a cobalt heel for dinner and loved the juxtaposition of the entire outfit. I can’t wait for the weather to be consistently warm to try it out with black cut-offs and jellies!
