I can taste the weekend.

Not literally, but I’m anxious for it. Something about Summer weather, neighborhood kids being out of school and the earlier sunrises/later sunsets makes me crave weekends even more than usual. I often wonder why I didn’t become a Teacher but then quickly realize that I quite dislike most children. 😉 I skipped out on last week’s favorites because of all things wedding-related but I’m back today with my #ThursdayThree for y’all!

#1 Trader Joe’s Loaded Fruit & Nut Granola

This stuff is insanely addicting. I could probably eat the entire bag at once if I tried really hard. It’s gluten free, had just the right amount of sweet AND it has Brazil Nuts in it. It’s seriously so good. I usually just grab a handful and go but I’ve also tossed a bit on top of yogurt for a nighttime snack as well as poured Cashew Milk over it for breakfast. Yet to find a way that it doesn’t taste delicious. Next time you’re at Trader Joe’s grabbing an armful of fresh flowers, do yourself a favor and pick up a bag or two of this loaded granola. For under $4 it’s a no-brainer. Your wallet and your tummy will thank you!

#2 Distance Running

For the first part of 2016 I significantly cut down on the mileage I was running at any one time. Instead of my weekday runs being 5ish miles and my weekend run around 10, I cut back to 2-3 miles during a weekday run and MAYBE 5 on the weekends. My body needed a break, particularly my left knee. I was also getting kind of burnt out from it. Somehow I had myself believing I had to run ‘x’ amount of miles at a time or I wasn’t accomplishing anything…so I broke up with that mentality and refocused. I wanted to re-remember why I started running and why I enjoyed it so much. In early May I started itching for longer distances at a time and now that it’s light enough when my alarm goes off in the morning for whatever distance I want, I’ve been going further & further. I like setting my mind to something that is a bit uncomfortable so that once I complete it, I can take pride it what I did. So Distance Running, we’re back on in our relationship.

#3 Tassels

Tassels are everywhere and I can’t get enough. They’re young, fresh, fun and can be worn in so many different ways. From shirts to swimwear and bags to sandals, brands are loading their pieces up. #allthetasselsplease is my current motto. I’m obsessed with the instant ‘wow’ factor they had to the simplest of items and I love that it’s a trend that can be worn regardless of your age. I mean look at THIS dress for a little girl! Even your minis can get in on the tassel action. I’m currently crushing on this pillow, this dress, these sandals and this bag. So perfect!
