When you find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, why wait?

When Cassidy met Josh and they started ‘talking,’ I knew something was different. Call it a sister’s intuition. The way she talked about him, the effort she was putting into the relationship and the instant connection she was feeling were totally signs of the 3rd Breon girl falling in love. Awhhh, how sweet huh!? Getting engaged after just over 6 months of dating sounded ‘too quick’ to a lot of nosy judge-y uninformed people on the outside but when you know, you know. At least that’s how THEY felt {and I couldn’t agree more} and that’s really all that matters actually. What those people didn’t realize is that she knew Josh’s family for about 2 years and actually got to know him for about a year prior to them officially beginning to date. #hatersgonnahate Anyway, after an adorable proposal in Vero Beach last July, they began planning their dream wedding. They decided on a Destination Wedding of sorts and though I would’ve preferred some tropical destination for their location, the moment we pulled up to their venue {Stonewall Farms in Willmar, Minnesota} I knew it was absolutely perfect for C.

Rainy days make for the best photos.

It’s the truth. Just look at the photos above & below. While the fact that it literally poured the morning of the Wedding was less than ideal for things like getting hair done and going on the necessary coffee run, it was perfect in terms of lighting. Thank you, Jesus! The love between Cassidy, Josh and everyone in attendance just radiated throughout the entire place all day. That love, combined with the best twinkle lights inside the barn for the ceremony and above their outdoor dance area, made for the most perfect of evenings. My favorite part of the ceremony was the washing of each others’ feet. While that may sound gross to nearly everyone, the symbolism was not lost on any person in the barn that day.

If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. John 13:14

For the two of them this was another promise, besides the expected ‘I Do,’ to each other to serve one another every day. I have never seen another couple do this and it was the only time during the ceremony that I almost cried {thanks to LASIK, I still couldn’t produce tears yet, HA!}. So. Much. Love.

After the gorgeous ceremony, everyone was treated to literally the BEST drink buffet {outside of free-flowing Mango Daiquiris ;-)} ever. Caribou Coffee Blended Lattes, Pink Lemonade Slushies and more were free to grab while you wandered the grounds of the farm. Life-size Chess, acres upon acres of beauty, Friesian horses and the lake in the background seemed to satisfy all of the guests whether they were 6 or 60. The reception venue was equally as gorgeous as the barn ceremony with a massive circus-like tent that became home to a create-your-own S’more Bar, a candy bar that was made up entirely of every kind of Oreo you can buy, catering from Famous Dave’s {give me all the cornbread muffins}, and first dances under the twinkle lights. I seriously feel like the entire night looked like it was straight out of a People Magazine article on some country singer & his college sweetheart getting married. The weekend was a whirlwind for me so I can only imagine how overwhelmed C & Josh were the entire time but one thing is for sure: their smiles spoke volumes. Cassidy look absolutely stunning and Josh cleaned up really well too–I’m so glad she was able to get him on board with the navy suit because it looked perfect! 🙂 These two newlyweds are enjoying some well-deserved fun in the sun on their honeymoon but get to head back to reality tomorrow, which I’m sure they are just thrilled about.

To the new Mr. & Mrs., I love you BOTH very much and am so happy for you. My prayer for you two is that you love each other through the ups & the downs, support & encourage each other always and never take anything for granted. I’m also praying you end up in Omaha! 😉 Fingers crossed!!!
