I’m super excited for today’s Workout Wednesday post!

Like seriously SO excited about it. By now you all know how important fitness is to me and how dedicated I am to keeping my routines fresh, my body guessing and my mind from getting bored. Trying new studios, both locally and when I’m traveling, is something I sincerely love {probably because I’m weird} because the change of scenery is always welcome. I like to think I’m pretty up-to-date on all the newest workout crazes and pride myself on being in-the-know when it comes to new boutique gyms open up; but I have to say I am/was behind the game on an Omaha GEM: Elevate Cycling & Fitness. After coming across Elevate on Instagram, I had a ‘how the hell am I just now finding out about this place‘ moment and immediately started researching them. I spent about 3 minutes on their website and was convinced I needed to get my butt in their doors ASAP. I reached out and got connected with owner/founder Sarah and instantly liked her {so what if I hadn’t met her yet!}. Sarah helped me get signed up in her traditional Cycling class bright & early a few Saturdays ago and from the moment I walked in the studio doors I knew that I was hooked. That realization was great but also kind of crappy…great because I had been on the hunt for a legit Spin class in town to mix up my usual workouts and crappy because the studio isn’t anywhere near my house. YAY for ‘funemployment’ though as it has allowed me the time to trek literally across the city for some amazing classes like Cycle + TRX and Barre. Today I’m introducing Sarah and allowing her to share a look into Elevate!

Introduce Yourself!

Hi, I am Sarah. I am the owner of Elevate Cycling & Fitness Studio, which is a boutique barre, cycling, trx, and yoga studio located in Papillion/La Vista NE.  I graduated from college and went straight into the working world, after working in sales for 2 different companies, I wanted more. I really wanted to help people and I wanted to be happy personally so I opened Elevate which was one of these scariest moments of my life but it has been so rewarding and such a journey in such a short time!

3 random facts about you:

O gosh, I love rap music, you will find that out really quick if you come to any of my classes! =)  I have a french bulldog fur baby named Cash who I am OBSESSED with! I have been to Europe 3 different times and have spent time in Germany, France, Denmark, and Norway.

Tell us about Elevate!

I opened Elevate because I wanted to create a space where people can come support each other, where they can sweat, smile, encourage, inspire, and connect with each other.  I wanted to create a place where you can change peoples days, I believe in the ripple effect of positive energy.  If I could create a space that helped you change your day, maybe that would change your week, which could change your month, and that could change your year. That one day could help you be a better parent, partner, boss, a better version of yourself and when people feel good they do good.

As a certified cycling instructor I wanted to create a space that offered the group fitness classes that I craved in a small community environment, not only do we offer a variety of indoor cycling classes but barre, trx, and yoga classes are offered as well.  The classes range from 45 minutes to an hour depending on what class you take.  We also have several classes that combine two different classes together such as Cycle/TRX and Cycle/Barre.

What are your future goals for the studio?

I would love to continue to grow my current studio in Papillion/La Vista as well as open a second location out in West Omaha.  =)

What is YOUR favorite class to teach? Why?

My favorite class to teach is Cycle & Sculpt, I love getting lost in the beat of the music in a 45 minute soul feeding sweat mesh and seeing smiles across the room during and after class!

Besides working out at the studio, how do you personally stay fit?

We eat really clean at home during the week, lots of lean protein, vegetables, and fruits.  I am also part of a program called IRun4, I have a buddy that lives in Arizona and will dedicate my runs or workouts to him because he is not able to run or walk so that also keeps me motivated to stay active on my days where I do not teach.

**I wasn’t familiar with IRun4 prior to Sarah mentioning but the idea behind it is SO awesome. I encourage everyone to look into it!!!**

Favorite motivational quote:

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”

Basically I want to be Sarah’s best friend. She is clearly the epitome of a major #girlboss plus she’s super cute. Her personality and joy is contagious in her classes, which helps pedaling ‘uphill’ on the bikes suck a tiny bit less. 😉 If you live anywhere in the Omaha metro area or are traveling through for any reason, SIGN UP FOR A CLASS. You will NOT regret it!

*Sarah is offering all A Midwestern Mix readers 15% off single class drop-in rates, 10 class packs AND Elevate’s monthly package with code summerlovin & as always, your first class as a new client is FREE!!!*
