Combine a high-low hem with an off-the-shoulder cut and I’m sold.

When SheIn reached out a few weeks ago about collaborating, I was SO thrilled. Their selection is literally insane and the price-points on everything in their inventory are crazy good. I mean, these pieces fit anyone and everyone’s budget. How amazing is that?! It’s just further proof that you do not have to spend an arm & leg on trendy items. As I was browsing their site, this dress basically jumped off the computer screen at me! Could it really be a dupe of the DVF Camila dress that I had been obsessed with but wasn’t willing to spend the steep price tag on? No shame, I pretty much squealed like a little girl and immediately added it to my cart. While I’m willing to splurge on DVF wrap dresses and other classic pieces, something like this high-low chiffon number was not justifiable an investment to me. Thank you SheIn for coming to my rescue. And for saving me about $500 😉

Totally feminine.

To me, this dress oozes femininity. Something I’m learning to embrace and not shy away from. The material combined with the delicate/uneven polka dot pattern and silhouette make it a dream to wear. It’s flowy but modest and sexy yet sophisticated. I absolutely adore the high-low hemline and the fact it’s off-the-shoulder make it the perfect piece for this Summer. Despite my skepticism, this dress is actually a lot more wearable than I imagined. From first look, I expected it to be a special occasion dress. I was right, but also wrong. I think this dress can be worn for an intimate date night paired with black pumps {that I talked myself into investing in!} & a pop of color from a mini bag like I did, but it also can be dressed down with a wide-brim hat and simple sandals to weekend brunch. If you’re daring, and I think you can be because of the pattern, you could also wear this to an outdoor wedding. Just make sure the bride is OK with it and pair with with a fun clutch and punchy sandal to keep it playful.

I’m sad to announce that today marks the last official day of Funemployment but I’m also incredibly excited to begin my new career journey come Monday! I’m a bit nervous but can’t wait to join the Marketing team with a great company based out of Overland Park, KS. I’ll be working in the Omaha office but my territory covers a few states! 🙂 Stay tuned for more about that next week & any prayers/good vibes you can pass along will be very welcomed! Happy Friday, lovers!! xox
