There is no secret; stripes are always a yes for me.

My closet is packed full of neutrals {grey, black, white} but the next most seen color/pattern is absolutely stripes. From dresses to tanks to swimwear, I have hardly met a set of stripes that I didn’t love and need. I’m a sucker for simple, classic looks and stripes are usually my subtle pop of something extra when I need a break from this v-neck and this tank that I’m constantly wearing. If you caught Friday’s post then you heard me talk about how big of a fan I am of SheIn! Crazy-affordable prices combined with an inventory that is literally unreal, they are a great one-stop shop for clothing, accessories, jewelry and shoes. For the second part of my collaboration with them I picked out this white & blue striped cover up with fun, hot pink tassels outlining the cut-out back. It’s SO Summery and perfect for a day, or night, near the water.

Tassels add the perfect, playful touch.

At first the white & blue stripes are what caught my eye on this cover up but after clicking on the link and noticing the tassel detailing on the back, I knew it needed to be mine. I ordered this identical one from ShopBop earlier this Spring {during their sale} but ended up returning after not being able to justify it’s cost for the little amount I would actually wear it. Being around the water, whether it’s a lake or the ocean, is such a place of peace and calm for me but unfortunately I’m not near either body as frequently as I would like to be. Between very few options nearby and the fact we’re as far away from the coasts as possible, my time wearing swimsuit cover ups is limited and when I do get the opportunity to wear them {usually on vacation} I always end up packing more than one. Can’t have too many photos in the same thing, right!? 😉 Anyway, because I knew I may only wear the expensive one a few times this Summer, back it went. Thankfully, this option from SheIn is 1/6 of the price AND it’s striped. WINNER, WINNER! They may call it a dress, but lets be honest, I will never wear it as one. More power to you if you have or would! All that being said, Kyle and I are lucky enough to have a pretty nice lake less than 2 miles from our house that feels like it’s miles away from the hustle & bustle of life, so when we need a break that’s where we head. This weekend we had an awesome time Stand-Up Paddleboarding there with my SIL, Lindsey, and it inspired this entire look. Easy, breezy and perfect for a day both on and off one of these cute sailboats.

Did y’all have fun weekends?! Anyone else a little sad that it seemed to go by so quickly!? I know I am BUT I’m also excited, and a bit nervous, to start my new gig today!!! Wish me luck–not just for the role itself but for getting back into a ‘real world workday’ routine after being away from that for nearly a month! xox
