My crush on blush is no secret.

What else is not a secret is that Mondays are my least favorite day of the weekend, I seriously am in need of some Vitamin D in the form of some hot sun and I will absolutely not be passing out candy to the neighborhood kids tonight. Wow, aren’t I just a positive and friendly one to start the week off?! In all honesty, I think I may have borderline seasonal depression because my attitude and mood seems to be a struggle more often than not once the temperatures may a drastic turn for the worst. If any of y’all have tips on how to combat the late Fall/Winter blues, PLEASE share! One way I’m hoping to keep me upbeat is all things blush. Generally I would categorize this soft pink hue as a Spring-y color that would probably be replaced for something much darker come Fall but this year especially, I’m loving how it looks on cozy knits, chunky cardigans and even on velvet booties {aren’t these gorgeous!?}. There’s something cheery and youthful about the way it looks on everything from tops to bags to accessories so I’ve been welcoming it into my closet with open arms. Maybe a little too open actually, but I’m fine with that problem.

An outfit I want to repeat over and over…

Aren’t those your favorite kinds of looks to create? Ones that you want to wear over and over or at least create near duplicates of? I sure think so but usually those outfits include leggings, a v-neck tee, wrap and tennis shoes that are more appropriate for the couch and weekend laziness. When I hit the jackpot and put something on that can take me to the office, church or out for a date night then I know I succeeded. The combination of this Split-back Pullover, the softest destructed denim and studded flats ended up being totally perfect for me over the weekend. I actually have this top in 2 other colors {grey & blue} because it’s so good. The cutout in the back gives an otherwise simple top a bit more character and allows you to choose whether you show a little skin or not. It’s incredibly soft and also a good weight so I can easily throw a vest over it for a bit more warmth or wear it alone with denim shorts {like I did here} when it’s nicer. And while being matchy-matchy is not normally my thing–unless you count wearing black on black, then it definitely is–but I loved how the pullover, shoes and bag all were nearly identical and softened up the tougher bottoms.

I guess I should finish by saying HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Hoping everyone has a great time dressing up, trick-or-treating or handing out candy if that’s your thing OR if you’re like me and will be watching Amityville Horror on your couch while wearing PJs, enjoy that as well! 🙂
