Music is good for the soul.

We’ve probably all heard that phrase but I also think there should be some kind of phrase stating how impactful music can be in relation to exercise. There are absolutely times that I need to be quiet in my thoughts when I’m on a run or instances where silence is actually my preference like while practicing yoga; but there are also many times where I crave a good beat or catchy lyrics. Lately I’ve been struggling to find the right mix to use on my runs. I feel like using random Pandora stations or Spotify lists let me down more often than so I decided I needed some kind of go-to. BPM is really important to me because nothing sucks the energy out of you more than an Adele ballad during mile 7 {love you girlfriend, but not while exercising!}. Below is the playlist I’m currently obsessed with. It’s definitely a little random but each song gives me a new burst of energy and I kind of like that it’s a bit eclectic. Also, can you really call it a great playlist if there isn’t an Eminem option on there?! 😉  I think the total time of these is right about 80ish minutes which means I can use it until I am doing more than about 10 miles…unfortunately that’s coming up like next few weeks so I’ve been debating whether to create a new one to switch it up or just add additional options to this one. My TomTom Spark 3 Cardio + Music watch can hold up to 500 songs so while I can have just about anything on there, I’m limited while using this + the wireless headphones to what’s actually IN there. *On a side note, I’m completely in love with this watch. There are somewhat mixed reviews online but for what I wanted it for, it’s been so great & I’d highly recommend it!* So if you have any current jams you’re loving that I need to import in, let me know! Or do you have a fabulous Spotify station that I need in my life immediately for the days that I use that?! Let me know in the comments below…and no judging my choices either! HA. xox
