Today is Friday, right?

Ughhh. Longest. Week. Ever. Maybe it’s the fact that the weather has been super bi-polar and in turn has made my attitude the same way. Yesterday we got like 4″ of snow, today the windchill is 3* and tomorrow the high is 61*. Like what the heck. Combine that with being incredibly busy at work and I’m over here just trying to survive. OK, I’m dramatic I know, but I can’t be the only one who has had more than their fair share of these kinds of days/weeks lately. Anyone else want to complain today?! 😉 I’m thinking that a good book, some lavender oils in my diffuser and a glass of Meiomi would be pretty much the perfect way to unwind this evening. Speaking of unwinding, are any of you considering low key Valentine’s Day plans this year? While I love getting all dressed up and going out to a super nice dinner or show, staying in, cooking dinner and Netflix’ing sounds even more appealing to me to celebrate next Tuesday’s holiday. By no means am I being a Grinch, I just kind of loathe the way restaurants jack up their prices or put in place some skimpy price-fix menu that forces you to choose between 2 or 3 not-so-awesome entrees. How about let us pick what we want and charge us the same as every other night of the year? Luckily Kyle is totally up for staying in {shocking} and cooking together. Right now it looks like we’ll be having Lemon & Garlic Kale salads, Linguine with Sauteed Scallops & Pea, grilled Asparagus and Molten Lava Cakes. Carbs don’t count on Valentine’s Day, obviously.

The Varsity Tee.

Since I stalk Nordstrom’s ‘New Arrivals’ section like it’s my part-time job, this tee took about five seconds from when it hit the website to be put in my cart and on its way to me in Omaha. I’m a sucker for anything pink, clearly, but the striped sleeves and baggy-fit were actually what sold me. I felt like it looked like a chic Soccer jersey which may not be a selling point for you but it totally won me over! When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised with how soft it was and I’m currently debating ordering it in white as well. No doubt this tee will be on repeat as the temps warm up; I can see it being paired with cut-offs and slides and also with joggers and Nikes. Likely I’ll be wearing either this exact tee & denim combination for our ‘stay in’ Valentine’s night or something really similar, but regardless I’ll be channeling alllllllllllll the casual and cozy vibes that evening for sure. Have you made your plans yet? I’d love to hear what y’all are going to be up to!

Be sure to check back tomorrow morning when I share the last of 3 Valentine’s-inspired looks with you {Monday’s look can be found here!}–it’s RED HOT!
