Every girl needs this cardigan.

It’s rare that I say EVERY person needs something because I mean c’mon, we all have different styles, budgets, likes and dislikes, but I honestly am not sure of one female who isn’t a fan of a cozy, neutral cardigan. A piece that can be worn while lounging around the house with leggings, over a simple shirt dress to cut the late Winter chill or even to work layered with a blouse and dress pants to keep warm in those frigid office buildings is kind of universal, right?? The moment this Free People Low Tide cardigan was released, I knew I had to get my hands on it. I tried it on while in Texas but could not justify the $128 price tag so I put it back on the rack. Almost on a daily basis I would look for places that might have it on sale, offer coupon codes to discount its full price, etc. but couldn’t catch a break. If it would’ve been September when I saw the cardigan and hadn’t already purchased like 10 cardigans prior to discovering this one, I might’ve pulled the trigger in stores.

Then a miracle happened and Macy’s discounted the Cream to $64.99. On top of that they were running some 20% off sale prices deal so it was coming out to just over $50. Uhmmm, SOLD. But because I like to earn Nordstrom points on my Nordstrom Debit Card, I chatted with their customer service and they price-matched not just the Cream but also the Dark Grey and I got BOTH cardigans for $103.98. I got two frickin’ sweaters for less than every other retailer has a single one listed for. Literally felt like I had stolen them and wasn’t even sorry about it. When Kyle got home from work that night I was so excited to tell him about my bargain shopping skills. He was impressed but also wondered why I needed two more cardigans. Clearly I told him not to worry about that part. Best news…this Low Tide cardi is ON SALE with that additional 20% off again at Macy’s and also includes the Rose color. Get ’em while they’re hot and while it’s still cold outside, babes!

Wear it all the time.

Since I’ve had these cardigans, I’ve worn them almost daily. They’re pretty slouchy and aren’t ones that you want to hang up on hangars so I have them draped over an arm chair which makes them super easy to grab at any time. Over the weekend I layered my cream cardi over the cutest lace tank. I paired them both with my new pair of J Brand jeans that I’m trying to love but I honestly think I just hate. 🙁 I know I am not nearly the same height as the model was but I still expected these to be a bit more cropped; instead I feel like they just made me look kind of heavy. {Side note: if anyone is in the market for THESE in a Size 26, I’ve only worn them twice and I’d sell them for a REALLY good deal!} At least I was casual and relaxed so that’s a positive I guess! Alright babes–lets hope this Monday flies by! xox
