#1 RXBARS

If you would’ve told me that something with egg whites, almonds, cashews and dates as the main ingredients would taste really good, I would’ve rolled my eyes at you and called you crazy. But then I actually tried RXBARS for myself and now I’m hooked. They’re filling and once you get past the slighty chewier-than-most-sports-bars texture, I’m pretty sure you’d be a fan too. Right now my favorite flavors are Blueberry and Mint Chocolate Chip but honestly, besides the Pumpkin one, none of the flavors are bad! Despite being a little pricey, they can act easily as a breakfast while you’re on-the-go so I think they’re totally worth it. Plus most of them have at least 12g of protein in them and if you read yesterday’s post you’ll know I’m looking for alllllll the protein right now!

#2 Side Planks

Call me crazy but I am a huge fan of planks. They require nothing more than your body and the floor and there are so many variations. Lately I’ve been loving side planks, especially with hip dips, and have been doing 50 on each side every day. After the first few days, my sides were so. freaking. sore. but I think I’ve gotten a bit more use to them because I’m less sore but also feel stronger while doing them. Maybe I’m crazy but I also feel like the definition along the sides of my abs has become a bit more noticeable. Because I can do planks anywhere and everywhere, I have no excuse not to get them in for the day which is both a blessing and a curse.

#3 Slip-ons

If you follow me on Insta–@amidwesternmix–you know I posted THESE grey babies on Tuesday but I love them so much that they’re getting another shout-out today. Seriously, I cannot get enough of shoes that do not need to be tied. Like slip your feet in and head out the door. The extra platform gives them a little bit of a throwback vibe and gives me some extra height that I’ll never complain about! 😉 The price-point is so good and I promise you that this shade of grey can go with just about anything you have. I’ve worn them with denim + button-up and with joggers + a varsity tee and gotten compliments on them styled both ways. You can wear no-show socks with them or go barefoot like I usually do and either way they’re really comfortable. They didn’t require any breaking in which is awesome because the first time I wore them I was on my feet for 6.5 hours straight. I’m linking a few similar options below that I’m pretty much obsessed with as well!
