It’s the FIRST DAY OF SPRING!

Babes, we’ve made it! Winter is FINALLY out, at least according to the calendar, and warm weather should be on its way! Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous here in Omaha and it was a absolute spirit-lifter for me. I’ve mentioned before that I have a little bit of seasonal ‘blues’ and just being able to sit on the deck for an hour in shorts and a tank for an hour in the afternoon was incredibly rejuvenating. With today being the first official day of Spring, and a Monday, I’m promising myself that I’ll take on the week with a smile on my face and a positive attitude. 🙂 Yeah, the serotonin has definitely given me a lot of feels the past 48 hours and I’m super OK with that. Plus I got to spend time with my Mom, Cassidy, Janae and Papa before they headed back to Dallas and Toledo and family time was also just what I needed. Ooooh and Cassidy & I knocked out 10 miles on Saturday AM around Lake Zorinksy and it felt glorious. Basically if I can just rewind back to Thursday evening and start the last few days over, I’d be content.

White vibes.

With my closet containing a pretty basic color palette, I’ve consciously tried to swap out my usual blacks and greys for some brighter whites lately to liven things up just a bit. I love how clean and fresh pops of white look and the way it acts as a simple backdrop for a fun pair of earrings, statement shoe or unique bag. This particular white cotton sweater is one I’ve had my eye on for about a month but had yet to pull the trigger on; I knew I’d get a ton of wear out of it but I wasn’t convinced that a pullover sweater was a piece I should really be purchasing at this time of the year. Last week I got a 15% off email from Revolve and took it as my sign to get the darn thing and it’s perfect. Slightly baggy, super soft and easily able to be transitioned to Summer with a pair of cutoffs and lace-up sandals, I have already worn twice since it arrived so its clearly a winner.

Casual is the best adjective to describe my typical style and this outfit is the epitome of a go-to look for me. Basic top, destructed denim {these are the washed black version of my FAV pair of denim!} and mules because we all are fully aware of how obsessed I am with this type of shoe. Quick side note on my this white mule…they’re fabulous and under $35 so if you’ve debated this trend and wanted to try it without spending a lot, these would be a great pair to start with! My look was able to take me straight from grocery shopping & Target to late Sunday afternoon drinks and I cannot wait to style this top again for the office.
