#1 Daily Harvest Smoothies

If you follow me on social media you are well aware of my smoothie obsession. I get super bored with food so smoothies are the best way for me to get my servings of fruits, veggies, protein, etc. in without having to put a whole lot of effort into meal planning. Usually I just put a scoop of protein powder, a scoop of collagen and a random mix of frozen spinach, berries or banana, PB2 and coconut milk into my Nutribullet and call it a day but I’ve been wanting to try out some new combinations so I decided to try out Daily Harvest. I’d hear of the brand before and didn’t know a lot about them but after getting an email with a 50% off discount code I figured it was the perfect chance to try them out. Basically you sign up for the # of smoothies you want delivered {I went with 6 weekly & mine are come every Thursday} and they arrive on your doorstep packed in dry ice. My 3rd shipment is scheduled to be here later this afternoon and I’ve loved every combo I’ve tried. My favorite is definitely the Cacao Avocado Power smoothie–so good post-workout–but I swear all of them taste great. Use THIS LINK to try Daily Harvest for yourself and get 2 free smoothies with your first order. **This isn’t sponsored, I just love it so I wanted to share!**

#2 Dealing with Injury

Depending on how the next few days/week go, this might turn into a full Workout Wednesday post but for now I’m going to keep it short & sweet. Injuries suck. Whether they’re minor injuries or major setbacks, anything that alters your usual routine or causes you to take a step back sucks. While the pain itself is bad, sometimes the mental side of it can be almost as painful as the physical ailment. A week ago I really messed up my right knee after doing some major inclined sprints at OrangeTheory. I took the following day off but then didn’t feel too bad on Saturday so I went out and ran 12 miles. Then I got home and couldn’t walk the rest of the day–and going down stairs? Hell no. I biked Sunday, stayed away from cardio Monday, biked again Tuesday and told myself to suck it up yesterday and ran 4.5 miles. A part of me knows that I need to rest but with Cassidy & I’s race just 10 days away, I also know I need to push to that finish line. I’m confident that even if I took the next 10 days off I would have the stamina to finish the Half without any issues but it’s the mental side that’s killing me…admitting that out loud definitely makes me realize that I’m once again bordering on obsession with exercise {which I’ve struggled with} so I’m trying to find some kind of happy medium. I’d love to know how anyone who has struggled with an injury has dealt with it–and I’d totally take some prayers & good vibes that everything stays calm at least for the next 2-ish weeks. 🙂

#3 Shopbop Event of the Season Sale

By now it’s no secret that Shopbop is running their infamous ‘Event of the Season‘ sale. You have a little over 24 hours left to get your spending on. All orders under $500 are 20% off while any over $500 get 25% off with code EVENT17. I did a major roundup of my favorites on Tuesday evening {find the post HERE!} but I thought I’d share below what all I actually ordered below. My first package(s) should be here sometime today so be sure to follow along on Instagram & Snapchat {@kristinkruse} to see everything, too! Have any of y’all gone overboard like me? Gosh I hope so, I’m kind of feeling the need to validate my problem. HA! At the moment I have a slight obsession with ‘Springy sweatshirts‘ so in the past 3 days I’ve purchased 3. Along with that, I’ve been crushing on APL sneakers for like ever so I figured now was the time to finally pull the trigger–with the help of my sisters I went with these–and my heart can’t say no to striped dresses so for obvious reasons this midi is on its way. I’d love to hear what you’re favorites are or what you’ve ordered for yourselves too!
