Can’t get enough of this sunny weather!

I’m with the majority of the population who isn’t thrilled that it is Monday, but waking up to the sun shining and not a cloud in the sky definitely is helping the case of the Mondays that is brewing inside my soul. The sun and espresso that is. This weekend was gorgeous in Omaha and I lucked out with being able to lounge around outside on the deck for a few hours both Saturday & Sunday. My face finally has a little bit of color and I’m doing a happy dance. Promise I had sunscreen on though, because now I’m extra paranoid about wrinkles and sun damage–but I’m about 2 hours away from being able to get by with just moisturizer, which is kind of amazing. My motto for this upcoming week is ‘Zen AF’ and I’m not going to let anyone kill my vibe. Currently live streaming the Boston Marathon {literally giving me ALL the feels} and hyping myself up for my Half Marathon this Sunday! Ok, after re-reading those last few sentences you’d think I took some loopy/lovey pills. Promise I didn’t. Hopefully everyone had a fabulous Easter weekend. Kyle’s parents came Friday evening and we went to our church’s Saturday night Easter service which was amazing! I wore THIS dress {see it on Insta HERE} and got so many sweet compliments on it. Can’t beat a breezy midi that’s under $100, am I right?!

Dainty details.

Stripes are my jam. I may actually wear stripes as much as I wear grey and black. They can be casual and cool or they can completely elevate a simple piece. Whether vertical or horizontal, thick or thin, bold or subtle, I’m a fan. While wandering around Village Pointe a few months ago, I spotted this top at Banana Republic and immediately fell in love. The light pink was so cheery against the cold Winter that was still hovering over the Midwest and I knew that with the Spring-y feel and fluttery sleeves, this cutie would sell out quickly. I was right. I think it may have lasted in stores/online for a few short weeks and now I can’t find it anywhere. Good news though–BR just came out with a polka dot version that is equally as adorable and possibly even more versatile! There’s a simple yet chic look to this top and it is the perfect piece to transition from work, tucked into a pencil skirt, to happy hour. Since we got dressed up for Easter on Saturday evening, I felt the need to keep things cheerful again yesterday afternoon so I finally popped the tag off this top and slipped on my newest obsession: THESE BOW SLIDES. I mean, they might just get their own blog post because they’re that amazing. Pretty sure they remind Kyle of something a 4 year old girl should be wearing, but whatever because they’re freaking awesome. I loved this outfit so much that it’s quite likely you’ll see it repeated a few times over the next few weeks; so sorry in advance! 😉 Off to find out who takes first in the Marathon and order my new iPhone 7 Plus! EEEK! xox
