This blue hue makes my heart happy.

Despite my clear gravitation towards neutrals, this bright royal blue is actually my favorite color. So much so that it’s the exact color my bridesmaids wore. It ended up being the perfect tone against the Gulf of Mexico back drop and I was honestly a bit jealous that I didn’t get it wear it myself! Even though I lay claim to this as my color of choice, I have nearly no pieces in this shade. Not that I wouldn’t buy them if I saw them, I truly just don’t feel like it’s a choice in most of the items I buy which is kind of a shame. There’s some regal and royal about it but also youthful and fun as well. Also, TG it’s FRIDAY! This week kind of went by quickly but also seemed to drag on. Plus when I woke up yesterday morning I was convinced it actually was Friday. Ughhh, that is the worst. But now it’s almost the weekend which means Haley & Palmer are coming to visit! YAY! We’re taking the little man to the Zoo and it’ll be his first time. I’m so excited to watch his reaction to all of the animals! He’s in that ‘mimic everything’ stage so I think we’re in for some major entertainment. Be sure to follow along with us on Snapchat {@kristinkruse} and on Instagram Stories! The weather is supposed to be legitimately perfect: total sunshine, highs in the mid-upper 70s and a light breeze. FINALLY. Thinking I may actually get to break-out my fav Spring uniform of denim cut-offs, bright sneakers, layering tank & lightweight button-up.

The ‘Every Blogger Has It’ Dress

Sometimes I try and avoid some of the ‘blogger’ pieces and outfits that every girl out there owns and is rocking. Not because I don’t think they look awesome but more because when I see a piece on 25 different gals, I wonder if my desire for said piece is real or if it’s amplified because I’m seeing it repeatedly. Does that make any sense? Like, do I love THIS top because everyone is looking hot in their Insta photos wearing it or do I love it because it’s totally my style and something I would buy even if no one else did. Verdict on that one was a no in case you were wondering! 🙂 Then there are times when I can’t help myself, like when Free People released THIS DRESS {an updated version of one I snagged 2 years ago, seen here}. It has a longer hemline than most FP dresses and when I saw it in the Blue Combo, I didn’t hesitate to click buy now. It’s flowy, feminine, incredibly comfortable and if you’re lucky, you can find it on sale every once in a while! Honestly, I personally believe it’s worth the full price because of it’s versatility. Wear it to a Bridal Shower {like I did last weekend}, to brunch with sandals, or if you’re lucky like me to have a pretty casual office you can pair it with pumps too. I’m wearing an XS and it’s definitely breezy/roomy but I like the freedom it gives me and despite being on the shorter side, I don’t think it swallows my frame like some reviews cautioned. If blue isn’t your thing, there are some other gorgeous colors available as well!

Just a few more hours and I’ll be enjoying a margarita on the rocks, on a patio & noshing on some Mexican food because Cinco de Mayo. 😉 Hope you babes have a fabulous weekend! xox
