#1 Cauliflower-based Smoothies

I cannot believe I only discovered adding cauliflower to smoothies a few months ago. I’ve been completely missing out! And ever since I’ve posted smoothie recipe & combos on my Insta stories and Snapchat {@kristinkruse} it seems like I haven’t been the only not on the veggie’s bandwagon. It adds a creamy texture, acts as a great alternative to frozen bananas {so much less sugar content!}, has relatively no taste and is high in fiber while being low in carbs. Some food bloggers I follow say they steam & then freeze their cauliflower before adding it with other ingredients in smoothies and bowls but I prefer to go the easy route and just grab a frozen bag of organic cauliflower from Whole Foods or TJ’s. My favorite combo is a take on Lee From America and includes: 1 cup frozen cauliflower, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 an avocado, 1/2 cup of cashew milk, 1/2 cup of water, 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, 1 tbsp of cashew butter & 1 tsp of cinnamon. #2 Journal-ing Fitness Goals

It’s no secret that I love to write. Hence the blogging. But I’ve recently discovered a love for writing down small, weekly fitness goals and workout plans and crossing things off as I finish them. There’s something refreshing about seeing things get accomplished from a visual standpoint. Plus it gave me an excuse to buy THIS cute little notebook. It’s all exercise-focused and I’ve been filling it’s pages with everything from how long I want to hold a plank ever night before bed to how many pull-ups I want to be able to do by the end of the weekend to how many miles I want to knock out. I think this could be a great idea for anyone searching for a little extra motivation! 🙂

#3 Denim Shorts

I have kind of been hitting the jackpot lately in the denim shorts department which is a far cry from my usual experiences Summer after Summer. With a new career and the ability to literally wear just about anything I could ever want to work now, I’ve decided it’s probably time for yet another pair of cut off shorts! I want ones that aren’t too short or too long, some distressed or destructed details or a fun style element. Currently have 5 pairs in my cart(s) so I’d love y’alls feedback on which pair is your personal favorite! Or have you recently bought a pair that I need to look at?!
