#1 Overnight Stay at The Graduate – Lincoln

I could go on and on about our experience at Lincoln’s newest addition to their hotel scene, The Graduate, but I’ll keep it short and sweet. If you’re local to Omaha and are looking for a quick overnight getaway, stay here. If you’re traveling into town for a Husker game, stay here. If you’re having a Bachelorette Party or a Girl’s Night before a concert at Pinnacle Bank Arena, stay here. The ambiance is AMAZING. The interior design aesthetic is unlike anywhere else I’ve ever been; throwback style with sweet local touches. Every single member of the staff {from the Front Desk to Troy the GM to the Servers to Housekeeping} was beyond friendly and Kyle & I felt welcomed every moment of our stay. You HAVE to eat at their on-site restaurant–John J’s–and I highly suggest trying 1 or 2 of their signature cocktails. The 2nd floor of the hotel houses a really nice indoor pool and outdoor balcony/lounge area that overlooks downtown Lincoln. SO CUTE! Oooh and last but not least THE BEDS. Crazy comfortable. We had a great experience and can’t wait to go back for a nice little staycation-ish soon! 🙂

#2 Curtsy Lunges

Everyone hates lunges. Or everyone who is a normal human being hates them. They’re super effective but they also kind of suck. Nothing burns my legs out quicker than lunges…well, except maybe burpees. Anyway, the one form of lunges that I don’t completely despise are curtsy lunges and I honestly think they’re even better than regular ones! At least for me. My knees don’t bother nearly as often with a curtsy lunge and I feel like my form is a lot better. Combine a curtsy lunge with a bicep curl and you’ve got yourself a total body move. I have been trying to do this combo, 3 sets of 12 on each leg, 3x week and have noticed more definition in my quads. Can’t complain about that! Give them a try and let me know what YOU think.

#3 Transitional Summer Sweaters

Ahhh ‘sweater weather‘ is creeping up on us and I’m both thrilled and terrified. I’m so so not ready for the temperatures to dip and to say goodbye to Summer but at the same time, I absolutely love dressing in layers. Total catch-22 for me! With that in mind, I’ve been adding more and more sweaters to my closet lately–especially ones that can help me transition from warm, sunny afternoons to the cool evening breezes. Below I’ve rounded up 6 of my favorite recent purchases! I am in the market for a few more so if you’ve scooped up one that you’re obsessed with, comment below so I can take a look! 🙂 As you can clearly see, neutrals are my life. I kind of want to branch out a bit and add a bright option or two but I have yet to find one that doesn’t scare me away. My search continues for a cozy knit with a punch of color!
