Babes, we MADE IT!

It’s Friday! YAY! This week didn’t seem to fly by like I had hoped but now we’re here so I’m not complaining. I honestly feel like this the last true ‘Summer weekend’ so I plan to take full advantage. Give me sun, a patio and no responsibilities for a good 72-ish hours PLEASE! I spent an hour this morning decorating our house for Fall because it’s September 1 and all so what else is a girl to do? 😉 Don’t worry, haven’t had a Pumpkin Spice Latte just yet so I’m not too basic too soon. To be honest I am not a huge fan of PSLs anyway so I won’t be rushing to get my first. There is actually a cute little coffee shop near our house that makes a bomb.com White Pumpkin Latte {white chocolate, pumpkin puree & cinnamon} so I’ll probably be grabbing one of those before hitting up Starbs. My dad is flying in tomorrow morning for Labor Day Weekend and I’m so excited because I haven’t seen him since May! And if this weekend wasn’t already going to be full of fun, it’s the START OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL BABY! Seriously, I cannot tell you how much I love game days. You’ll find me parked in front of the TV most of tomorrow flipping between channels and snacking on some homemade BBQ & dairy-free queso.

No onto this insanely fabulous, super affordable, figure-flatting, every-girl-needs-it body-con dress. I’m NOT a body-con dress wearer because of obviously reasons but this dress is unlike anything I’ve ever put on. I feel feminine and sexy but also super comfortable it in. It’s transitional in that you can wear it during any season but also because you can wear it for any occasion. Today I’ve styled it two ways, for day & night, to show it’s versatility. Oh and I can’t forget to mention it’s $56 and comes in 6 different colors. Currently I have it in black and the heathered green but I’m waiting for a restock in my size in the grey so I can grab that one too! PS– I’m wearing a size Small and it’s definitely fitted. Could’ve gone to a Medium for a little looser fit!

Daytime.

Casual enough to wear during the day with slip-on shoes or to a tailgate with a denim jacket tied around your waist, sneakers and a baseball cap, this dress flatters your curves and provides an awesome alternative to more typical t-shirt dresses. Keeping accessories to a minimal allows the dress to stand out on its own. I LOVE how these leather Nikes pair with the dress to give off a low-key vibe!

Night Out.

To elevate the dress for date night, I swapped out my sneakers for studded sandals, added a suede jacket and threw on my favorite black sunglasses. The extra details give the basic dress an edgy, slightly moody vibe that is perfect for an evening on the town. It’s definitely a LBD that you need in your closet ASAP. You could easily layer on the jewels and add a sky-high strappy sandal for an even more dramatic look.

I’m off to finish up work for the afternoon and then curl up on the deck with a glass of wine & a good book. Hope y’all have fabulous long weekends! xox
