One of my New Years Resolutions for the blog was to increase my posting from 3x/week to a minimum of 4 times, eventually working my way up to where I ultimately want to be: posting 5x/week. With a full-time job, one sister getting married soon, one sister having a baby boy even sooner, and life in general, I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to go about tackling the feat of creating more content. The writing side of blogging is just as much my passion as styling outfits so I wanted to make sure that when I increased the number of posts I was doing, I wasn’t compromising the content itself. About a month ago I came up with the idea of doing a #ThursdayThree series.
The thought behind it was to highlight three things; one each in the categories of food, fitness, and ‘everything else,’ that I’m loving, recently tried & hated, interested in, etc.
#1 Stumptown Cold Brew Coffee – My local Whole Foods finally started carrying the single-serve, or in my case 2 serving, bottles and I stock up on them every time I grocery shop. Once March hits I’m all about ICED coffees and this is the best Cold Brew I’ve had yet. It’s not too strong and it tastes fantastic! I like to pour half the mini bottle over ice and add 2 tbsp of this creamer or about a 1/4 cup of coconut milk, depending on my mood. Perfect way to start my morning!
#2 Planks – I am all about the planks. Remember when ‘planking’ everywhere was a craze? So bizarre. Anyway, planks are amazing for your core and really your entire body. Every night before bed I do a series of 5 planks. Is bedtime the right time to do them? Not sure, so I do incorporate them into my regular workouts too but I like the idea of tightening my abs before bed so my plank routine looks like…plank on elbows, high plank, plank on elbows with knee taps, high plank with knee taps, and finally ending with elbows to high plank while switching with arm I lead with. Confused? Let me know and I can put a short Snap video together 😉 I break 15 seconds between each set. I started with 15 seconds per plank series and am currently at 45 seconds/each. You do you on the timing but it is awesome to see progression!
#3 The SHOPBOP Sale – I could pretty much just mic drop here because in itself this sale is bananas. When & where else can you find pieces like this Vince crossbody, this amazing Mara Hoffman one piece, or Loeffler Randall sandals discounted?! The more you spend, the more you save, all the way up to 25% off with code BIGEVENT16 and I managed to snag some great Spring pieces! Want to know what made the first-round order for me? These vintage-looking cutoffs, my favorite skinnys in the perfect transition color, this ruffle & lace mini dress/tank, this lightweight peplum top, another one of my favorite notebooks, the perfect Easter dress, and this basic tank for layering. My online cart is already full again so be sure to check back and see what else I’m eyeing!

Love this! You are doing great! http://www.styleonedge.net
