My favorite part of blogging over the last 9-ish months has been all of the awesome people I’ve ‘met’ and connected with. I’ve been pushed creatively and inspired by a community of like-minded and drive individuals that continually fuel my passion for what I am doing; and I couldn’t be more thankful! Along with creating new friendships, I have also been lucky enough to have started building relationships with some pretty great brands. After connecting with Crane & Lion on Instagram about 6 weeks ago, we began brainstorming collaboration ideas and I was like a kid in a candy store. I became familiar with the brand a little over a year ago when I won a pair of their Original Tights in a giveaway that the fabulous Nicole of Pumps & Iron hosted. The moment I received them I was hooked! Crane & Lion is relatively new to the athletic wear scene but with their philosophy of providing women with fashionable, functional and transitional pieces made with high-end fabrics, their presence in the market undeniable. Their quality rivals {and in many cases, exceeds} other go-to fitness brands like Lululemon and Splits59 while maintaining an affordable price-point. Nearly all of their sales come from their website, however a a growing number of boutique fitness studios and spas carry pieces from their collection AND they just opened a retail location in Boston that I cannot wait to visit.

To be up front and honest with everyone, Crane & Lion was gracious enough to send me the pieces from this post but all opinions are 100% my own. I pride myself on being real, so when I’m obsessed with something or totally in love with a brand or product, I want to share it with everyone. If something I try sucks, you’ll definitely hear about that too! 🙂

Now lets talk about this combo {ignore the fact I have literally zero makeup on, I mean not an ounce. #notevensorry}…Crane & Lion’s Lightweight Capri in black heather and their Tunic Hoodie in dark slate. As a runner I am always looking for bottoms that stay in place and these truly do. No saggy crotchal region–sorry for the blunt terms but that is important to me! I’m not forced to hike them up as I run or adjust them after box jumps and that alone makes them a winner in my book. The capris’ lightweight, moisture-wicking material is also incredibly comfortable and after wearing them to a hot yoga class, I didn’t have swap ass! 😉 It is no secret how much of a fan I am of comfies and this hoodie is perfection. It’s cozy without being sloppy and the subtle side ruching and tiny zipper details add a simple, feminine-ness to it. Plus the slate color is the perfect neutral. Because it’s been way too cold for outside runs in only a sweatshirt, I haven’t been able to test this one’s capabilities during a workout but I am looking forward to seeing how versatile it could be! For reference, I am wearing a size 4 in both the top and bottoms. I feel like these bottoms fit true to size and the hoodie a bit oversized. I would suggest sizing down for a more fitted look. Over the course of this week I will be showing off some of Crane & Lion’s most popular pieces, so be sure to check out Wednesday & Friday’s posts with for more reviews!
