Does a Romper a day keep the doctor away?

Probably not but wouldn’t that be great!? Rompers are everywhere right now. From street style mavens to celebrities to the little girls next door, this look is beyond easy. As the humidity creeps upward each day here in Omaha, I’m constantly looking out for easy. My craving for easy fabrics, fun patterns and versatility is super real right now and these onesie pieces satisfy all of those needs. Not on my proverbial ‘needs’ list is any specific brand or designer but I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t gravitate to all things Free People when I go on the hunt for something easy & breezy to add to my wardrobe. They kill it all the time and I rarely, if ever, find something of theirs that I am not completely obsessed with.

Ruffle details + moody florals = perfection.

Neither floral prints or this moody blue color are rampant in my closet so I loved the idea of mixing two slightly different elements within this look. One of the biggest struggles when I’m looking for a great romper is the length. I’m not the girl who loves her legs and has no problem showing a little butt check cleavage {more power to those who are willing!} so I’ve struggled to find solid options that feel feminine but aren’t way too short. I mean, I’m not even 5’5″ so if something is short on me I cannot imagine how anyone taller manages. #firstworldproblems I took a bit of a risk with this particular Free People romper when I ordered it but was so pleased with how it fit. {It is INSANELY on sale right now–$36.99 from $128 so I’m considering ordering it in a second color!} There is a snap at the neckline that can allow it to be more or less conservative up top and the flutter-y hemline gives just the right amount of added length to keep me comfortable. Paired with simple lace-ups like the ones I have one created the perfect look for a family dinner but I will easily be able to swap them out for a chunky heel and statement necklace for a date night with Kyle or a Happy Hour with girlfriends.

I have to apologize for skipping yesterday’s #ThursdayThree series but we had a 5.5 hour drive from Omaha to Willmar, Minnesota where my sister Cassidy is GETTING MARRIED. The venue, Stonewall Farms, is absolutely stunning and the set-up looks like it is straight out of a magazine. She’s having a DIY Coffee Bar, s’mores station & created so many personal touches for the ceremony & reception.
