Lost time is never found again. – Benjamin Franklin

That quote has been on my mind lately and as I think about how August is just about over and the fact we’re about ready to head into a new season, it resonates more than ever. Where did the weekend go? Where has this month went? How are we on the back end of 2016? I feel like those are constant questions I repeat to myself and the only answer I come up with is that time doesn’t stand still. Of course I know that but allowing it to sink in is something else. Meditating on that churns even more questions in my head; specifically am I or how am I maximizing my time? Are my priorities in check? This fertility journey that we have been on has been rocky thus far but it has also made me appreciate things more. Things like the fact my body is healthy, my relationship with Kyle is stronger than it’s ever been and reconfirmation that we have the most loving and supportive families. Time is so precious and it is not meant to be taken for granted. Sorry…that was pretty deep for a Monday morning, but I think that when something is weighing heavy on your heart it means that you’re supposed to share it. Maybe someone else was thinking or struggling with similar things or maybe someone just needed a subtle reminder to make the most of each day.

Daniel Wellington time pieces.

After all that, I really do have a blog topic to talk about 😉 That topic is Daniel Wellington time pieces. Classic, chic and timeless are all perfect adjectives to describe them. I was lucky enough to be gifted a watch of my choosing and there was zero hesitation on picking out this Dapper Durham 34mm beauty in Rose Gold. I’m totally obsessed with the detailing and the cognac band allows it to match just about everything in my closet. I have worn it with super casual outfits as well as to work with dress pants & a blouse. As a girl who wears minimal accessories, one thing I’m rarely without is a watch. My mom got me hooked on pretty ones after giving me a classic Michael Kors once for graduation. Since then my watch collective has grown significantly and I take as much time deciding on what to wear as I do which watch to finish off a look with. I bought myself my first DW watch {this one!} about 18 months ago and since then have given two of my sisters ones as gifts. Haley has this one and Cassidy this one. Between high quality design, reasonable price-points and a great selection of colors and styles to choose from, I truly believe there is a Daniel Wellington watch for every one in your life.

Keeping it class(ic)…

With a classic watch comes the classic ‘Kristin’ outfit. It was back in the upper 80s this weekend so I was back in my usual Midwestern Summer clothes consisting of denim cutoffs, a striped tee {I have it in 3 colors & it’s a definite basic closet staple!} and slide sandals. Big shocker, I know! I threw this outfit on after church yesterday for a Target run and realized–for the millionth time–that while I do enjoy getting dolled up every once in a while, I’m definitely a ‘casual vibes errrrrrrryday’ kind of chick! 🙂
