Guess who’s back!?
Ok, I know I’ve only been ‘offline’ for a few days but I feel like it’s been forever. The pace of the last 10ish days has been literally insane and I needed a bit of a digital detox so I shelved Friday’s post and took a quickie break from Instagram. Anyone else ever feel the need to just live in the moment and be present versus trying to document every detail of life? I’m incredibly thankful to be able to blog and have this creative outlet though lately it’s been a bit of a struggle to be 100% dedicated to everything I’ve thrown myself into. A good and a bad thing for sure. But truth be told, I missed y’all and I am excited to share some great collaborations, outfit inspiration and life updates in the upcoming weeks!
The extensions…
The trend of adding volume to your lashes is going strong and I see no sign of it stopping any time soon. I’m behind on the bandwagon this time but I’m happy to say I’ve gotten my act together and joined the lush lash club! Two Saturdays ago I had to opportunity to meet Jordan from Jordan’s Studio and was lucky enough to get extensions from the best in town! It is insane how addicted I am to something so simple but I swear the fact I do not have to wear mascara is a total game-changer for me. We chatted at the beginning of the appointment about the look I wanted to go for but I immediately knew I trusted her and that I was in good hands. The process from start to finish was just under 2 hours and my results were beyond my expectations. The process itself was completely painless and surprisingly relaxing. The lashes Jordan uses are lightweight, thin and took no time getting use to. I actually thought I might feel ‘overdone’ with these on but I instantly was in love. Unfortunately they’re not a cheap habit to maintain so I’m not sure how long Kyle is going to let me keep up with them {going in later this week for my first fill!}, however I would abso-freaking-lutely recommend them to any and every female who wasn’t blessed with Kardashian-esque lashes naturally. You can see from the photos above that there is a drastic difference but in a totally great way!
For those of you local to Omaha, you MUST go see Jordan. Her adorable studio is in West Omaha and her small space is adorable. She does it all: lash extensions, facials, waxing and more. Jordan is a licensed Esthetician and Certified Lash Extensionist + Trainer and a total gem. Be sure to check out her website HERE or find her on Facebook and be prepared to book well in advance…this girl is a busy one but so beyond worth it! 🙂

I would definitely try this for a special occassion! We have really similar coloring and dark eyelashes make a big difference when you’re so blonde. These look amazing!!

I had eyelash extensions for the longest time and absolutely LOVED them! The last few times I went they made my eyes itch so I stopped getting them but after seeing how fabulous #IwokeUPlikethis you look I want them again! I need to find someone to do them with a non-allergenic glue! xo C

Girl everyone in LA has their lashes done and some are good..and some are just BAD. Yours look so stunning here, I love how they are full but still can be pulled off as natural with some makeup or without.
