I’m ON TIME this week! Monday Musings – Vol 3 is here and ready for you to enjoy. Maybe a few hours too late to read over coffee, maybe a few hours too early to read over a glass of wine… So basically I’ll keep trying harder. HA! Apparently the business world didn’t take my 3 day weekend suggestion this week. That was a real buzzkill to wake up to. Not going to lie.

What I’m loving…

Shirt Jackets. Shackets. Jackets that look more like shirts than traditional coats. Call them whatever you’d like, but I’m obsessed with them. It could be because I’m always cold, but I think it’s because I’m also forever after casual things. But causal things that add a ‘cute’ factor to any outfit. Obviously. They’re the perfect weight for a range of temps and right now there are about a zillion color/material/pattern options out there. Don’t worry about spending a ton either, I’ve seen adorable ones for next to nothing! My current favorites are THIS under $50 one, THIS two-toned one (in my cart!), THIS washed black option & THIS soft neutral one.

What I’m thankful for…

In-laws that I love. I cannot believe how many people I know that don’t love their in-laws. Ok, well they love them but they don’t necessarily like them. Dang. I feel sorry for anyone in that boat. Basically I hit the jackpot with Kyle’s parents. Their biggest negative? The fact they can drink us under the table. And his dad has no problem rubbing that in, LOL. Monday Musings – Vol 3 isn’t complete without some complaining, right? (Case in point: this post…haha) They visited this weekend and we had so much fun! It’s so nice to have an honorary set of parents I can count on; plus it’s pretty awesome that they look at me like one of their own. My feelings about my sister-in-law Lindsey & brother-in-law Caden, well those will come another day… But you can see below that we don’t have any fun together at all 😉

What I’m (not eating)…

Goodbye, meat! Only on Mondays though. A few years back, I did 9 months strong of ‘Meatless Mondays.’ Starting today, we’re doing it again through the end of the year. I’m doing it for numerous reasons — happy to elaborate if you’re curious. Tonight I’m using cauliflower gnocchi as my ‘main’ item and building around it. Here is what I’ll be making in the upcoming weeks: Eggplant Parm, Grilled Veggie Tacos, Teriyaki Veg Stir fry, Spicy Sweet Potato Bowls. I’d love to have some of y’all join us. Random Ramblings…

How does one go about sawing off one of their feet? Do you use a chainsaw? Or maybe just a basic hand-held one? Not asking for a friend. Asking for myself! Yesterday while cleaning a small annoyance on the bottom of my left heel turned into excruciating pain. Like to the point I couldn’t put full weight on it. Yes, I’m a baby, but literally I was in a 12/10 on the pain scale kind of pain. Woke up this morning to it calmed down some, thankfully. Hoping it’s just a combo of 8 miles in older shoes on Saturday & then 5k steps in flat, basically flip-flop sandals almost immediately after. Praying type? Send one up for me, if you wouldn’t mind!
Trader Joe’s has their Fall items out and I went a little nuts. Or basic. Call it whichever, but I’ve been waiting an entire year for the pumpkin cream cheese and pumpkin bagels to come back. Same for the Autumn Harvest pasta sauce & Butternut Squash Ravioli. MY FAVES.
Liquid IV released 3 NEW FLAVORS over the weekend and I just got my package with them today. Guava, Watermelon & Apple Pie are their most recent releases and I’ll definitely be trying the Guava tonight as I prep for tomorrow’s workout. Purging the F out of my closet. I do a round, post stuff online, then go back for more. I’ve decided I’m no longer allowing myself to buy new hangers. If something new arrives on my doorstep, something old must go. A lot of people enjoyed my IG closet for shopping, but the shipping just got too messy for me. My plane ticket is BOOKED to FINALLY meet Georgia! I cannot wait to see Cassidy (ok, and Josh and Frodo) and love on that sweet baby girl. I swear she looks older every Snapchat and picture I get!!!
