Easter Dresses are my favorite.

Growing up my mom always bought my 3 sisters and I new dresses for Easter. As we became old enough to help pick out our dresses, it became a tradition to head out in search of the perfect Easter outfit. We always had so much fun shopping together, though I’m sure my mom has some stories of tantrums to share! 😉 Despite each of us girls having somewhat different tastes in fashion, we often end up with similar styles, prints, or patterns each year. For only the 2nd time ever, I will unfortunately not be spending this coming weekend with my Breon family. Actually, it is looking like each of us sisters will be in different cities, and even states, for that matter. J will be the only one with my parents at church on Sunday and that definitely makes me sad–but it also makes me appreciate how many years that we have been able to be together on such important and significant holidays, too!

As I’ve gotten older, gotten married, and started paying for my own clothes {major buzzkill BTW!}, that tradition of purchasing a special new Easter dress has not been lost. With the actual date of Easter moving around, I try to pay close attention to what the weather forecast is to help me determine what style to try on. Coming up to my 27th Easter Sunday I had never worn a green-based dress so I told myself this would be the year. Of course as soon as you make a decision like that it makes it nearly impossible to find what you’re looking for. After trying on a few options in Omaha with no success, I started searching online and ended up ordering this solid option, this lace cap-sleeve one, this solid shift, this one with a cute ruffle hem, and this. While I actually really liked all but one of them, I decided the sleeveless, printed, Cupcakes & Cashmere dress was the right amount of feminine, flirty, and fun. The length was appropriate and I know that I’ll easily be able to top it off with a denim jacket if the temperatures do not cooperate. With a handful of weddings, showers, and events to attend this Summer, I know I’ll be able to wear this multiple times with gladiator sandals for a more casual look or strappy heels to amp it up.

Here are a few other dresses I’m loving that would be perfect for whatever your Easter plans may be! One, Two, Three, Four & Five.
