This week I’m SO excited to be featuring a few of the amazing spots inside Omaha’s Regency Court.

Over the next few days I will be sharing some of my favorite spots within the mall and focusing on how they can get you ready to head back to school and transition into Fall. One of my favorite things about Regency Court itself is their location and the amazing stores they house. From a salon & spa to a bridal boutique to restaurants & home decor hot spots, you can seriously knock out shopping for your entire family in one place. Hello efficiency! For those who know me well, you are well aware of my desire to stay as far away from ‘malls’ as possible but I honestly love popping into Regency Court on my lunch break & the weekends because the atmosphere is much more my style. Today I’m giving you a fun peak inside one of the most well-known salons in Omaha and I couldn’t be more excited! When getting ready for a new season, the first thing I think of is getting MYSELF ready. Whether that means completely revamping my look or refreshing it, I try to start from the top so that I can walk into any class, meeting or weekend event with confidence.

Garbo’s is a legitimate dream.

First of all, the salon itself is totally gorgeous. Ok I know that salons are supposed to be hip and cute but Garbo’s is on another level. It’s clean aesthetic and sophisticated look makes you feel like you’re anywhere but the center of the Midwest. Not only do they offer basic services like cuts, color and styling but they have a spa area that offers massages, facials, makeup, manicures, waxing and more. No doubt someone could spend an entire day here getting pampered! For over 25 years Garbo’s has been a go-to for men, women, children and everyone in between and with 5 locations across the metro area, you’re never far from one. While each salon’s services may differ slightly, you can always guarantee that the service itself is going to be unbeatable. A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be pampered by two AMAZING stylists at Garbo’s and I am super excited to share my thoughts.

Hair Experience – 10/10

I cannot explain how honestly amazed I was with how my hair turned out. Like yes, I curl my hair similar to this on a regular basis but I’ve never gotten it to look like THIS. It was so effortless and fun and light. I was lucky enough to get the insanely fabulous Thomas Sena {he’s a legend in Omaha–like seriously, I’ve mentioned his name to different people and they know or have heard about it} wash, blow out and style my hair and I literally kept it this way for 4 days. With the help of a little dry shampoo after day 3 😉 He’s a miracle worker and so incredibly personable. He used a variety of Garbo’s-branded products on my hair and everything felt lightweight and super soft. These curls are a perfect transition into Fall with their bounce and spunk but their more tousled look is very much ‘I woke up like this’ and I still obsess over them.

Off to makeup I went…

After my incredible salon experience I was passed along to Esthetician Triina, who was equally as sweet & fashionable as she was talented. As someone who puts on primer, tinted moisturizer and a few swipes mascara and calls it a day, it was totally different to have my face completely ‘done.’ In a good way! After getting a feel for my skin and style, Triina decided on airbrush makeup combined with light conturing for my face, a smokey-ish eye and a subtle red lip. I have to be honest when I say that I was a little nervous that I wouldn’t look like myself because it felt like so much more makeup being put on that I usually wear but as soon as I opened my eyes and turned my chair to the mirror, I was in awe! I felt fresh, pretty and ready to hit the town 😉 But seriously, I wasn’t scared at all by my appearance. I loved the dewiness of my skin and how the moody eyes paired with the bolder-than-usual lip which I feel like is so perfect for Fall since my sun-kissed skin has begun to fade. Garbo’s uses Aveda makeup products, which I’ve never used before, and I love the fact they’re not chock-full of parabens and unnatural crap! After my face was complete, Triina took me back into the mani/pedi portion of the spa for a shellac manicure. We agreed on CND’s ‘Lobster Roll‘ and it’s still going strong 2 weeks later. I love the reddish hue for Fall and it’s also perfect for Football season!

Enough good things cannot be said about Garbo’s!

Being completely transparent, I will say that I have only been to Garbo’s once prior to my ‘Fall Makeover’ and I’m actually quite embarrassed to admit that. I’ll be the first to tell you I’VE BEEN MISSING OUT! Every single person I encountered during my 3 hour appointment was friendly and helpful, the salon was clean and trendy, and the array of services offered leave you contemplating what to come back for next. With their Regency Court location less than 1 mile from my office and 10 minutes from home, it is the perfect pampering spot before a morning of shopping or evening of fine dining. A massively huge THANK YOU to Thomas, Triina & the entire Garbo’s team for an amazing evening! I can’t wait to book my next massage…or facial…or color…or all of the above 🙂
