Pottery Barn and my bank account aren’t great friends.

I know I’m not the only one who has a love/hate relationship with that place. I also have a love/hate feeling when it comes to the fact that their location at Regency Court in Omaha has everything I need and more. I mean, once I walk in I’m overwhelmed with a need {ok, want} for literally everything. Do I need a new headboard or dining room table every 6 months? Absolutely not. Do I want one every time they display a new arrival? Heck yes. Because buying big-ticket items like that on a seasonal basis is not remotely feasible for our budget, I can instead fulfill my need to constantly redecorate and rearrange with some of their smaller items like decorative pillows, throws and table linens. I know Kyle isn’t thrilled that I’ve began to ‘fall shop’ for our house but I think secretly he likes the changes too! 😉

Dream bedrooms.

Who wouldn’t walk their master or guest bedrooms to look like they’re straight out of a magazine? I certainly do! My interior decor style is a lot like my personal style in that I gravitate towards mostly neutral tones with some subtle pops of color and I’m all about texture, fabrics and material. The cozier and more ‘homey’ something looks, the more I want it. As Fall approaches, Pottery Barn has begun to deepen their color palettes and add warmth to their otherwise very soft hues. I’m totally a fan! The two bedding sets pictured above are two of my favorites. The first is a bit more dramatic than my usual taste but I love the reddish tones in the comforter and the strong contrast of the burgundy velvet throw pillow; and it still manages to fit into my aesthetic with it’s varied textures and cream accents. Plus can we talk about that faux fur blanket!? Give me one in every color! The second bedding set doesn’t exactly scream Fall but the moody tones of the comforter and the dark chenille throw blanket warm up the space and help to tie in the Euroshams, lumbar pillow and ottoman. This is my ideal oasis for our guests to stay in!

Office organization is key.

If you’re like me, you NEED organization in your office. I cannot function with a messy desk area and each evening before I leave my office, I make sure everything is back in its designated place. In our home office, I can’t get anything done if there’s a mess. The above desk space is the epitome of how I envision the perfect desk area. Everything tidy, organizational piecs for everything you need and a soothing color palette. I love this metal desk and the way its light grey color makes a statement against the bold slate wall. This is seriously the perfect space to cultivate creativity and get stuff done!

What is your favorite way to get your home ready for a new season? Do y’all love Pottery Barn as much as I do?! Let me know! xox
