It doesn’t get much more feminine than ruffles on a hot pink dress, does it!?

It’s hard not to have a huge smile plastered on your face when wearing such a flirty and fun dress. I think it is key for every girl to have a few pieces of clothing in their wardrobe that evokes instantaneous positivity and puts you in a fantastic mood. Slipping into something bright and cheerful {especially on a dreary day like today!} seems to immediately perk me up. What perks me up nearly as much? When the price tag is literally equivalent to a loaded Venti Latte from Starbucks. All the *praise hands* would be appropriate to utilize right about now. I’m all for investing in quality, long-lasting wardrobe staples but when it comes to something more occasion-focused, I’ll first check out inexpensive websites like Romwe, F21, H&M and Missguided.

Not just a party dress.

When I first picked this hot pink cutie out, I was pretty sure I would wear it to a Bachelorette Party I have in October and then it would probably hang it my closet; which I justified because of how inexpensive it was. Wellllllll as soon as it arrived, my mind was changed. The material is lightweight and it just begs to be twirled around in. It’s actually a little bit more casual than I was imagining it to be. I’ve already worn it with slide sandals and a denim jacket to Church & brunch and I didn’t feel too overdressed at all. I know I sound like a broken record, but versatility is so so important to me so being able to bring this down to an every day level was awesome. My sister Haley is even taking with her to Vegas so I’m super excited to see how she styles it! When I decided to style this for a blog shoot I wanted to take it up a few notches so I added a heeled sandal and fun tassel earrings. Typically I would’ve gone for a nude sandal and neutral clutch but I loved how the black provided more drama. Mixing ultra-girlie with some edge is one of my favorite combos!

This weekend is another crazy one for me. For the 2nd weekend in a row I have a corporate tailgate to host {Nebraska v. Oregon on Saturday} which means more bags, beer pong & bloodys then late Saturday night we have a wedding and Sunday I have a workout and a TON of cleaning and laundry to catch up on. YIKES. For all y’all who have relaxing and low-key weekends, I am beyond jealous. Enjoy, babes! xox
