Current status: cozy AF in this cardigan.

I figured that sentence would be a bit more appropriate in the body of this blog post vs. the title. And I’m pretty sure I’ll end up having to explain what AF means to my Mom since there’s a strong chance she’s one of the few that actually read what I write! 😉 In all honestly though, this sweater is unbelievably cozy. Last weekend while we were back in Kyle’s hometown picking up Cabo the weather was on crack. It was insanely windy the entire time but when Sunday morning in particular was really chilly and by the afternoon I would’ve sweat up a storm wearing this. Anyone else have days like that recently? Ones that need layers in the AM and then strip down when you leave the office for the day? I’m not a fan. Much like I do in everything else, I prefer consistency. I’ve all but given up checking the weather before I head out for the day and basically just wear whatever I’m in the mood for because chances are my guess is as good as those Meteorologists. With all the uncertainty in temps, cardigans have been a lifesaver. Scrolling through Instagram each day I see about 10 cardigans that I think I need but then I get the details emailed to me and realize that about 75% of them have wool in them. #byeee Wool is a deal-breaker for me and I can literally feel just 1% wool or wool blend in clothes or scarves. I’m literally getting anxiety just thinking of being itchy. Not cool. But so many cozy-looking cardis have that dreaded fabric which makes my already picky personality even pickier. Fingers crossed I’m not the only crazy lady that hates any itchiness and if you’re like me, I’m giving you 6 of my current favorite options {other than the one I’m wearing!} that are Kristin-approved…meaning cozy AF, oversized and perfect for just about any outfit.

Mixing neutrals.

It’s no secret my closet is full of neutrals. Lots of black, greys and nudes with a few solid white pieces are my usual suspects but lately I’ve been loving olive and blush as wear-with-all-colors as well. Typically I would see myself pairing this open front cardigan with a pair of destructed denim and booties but I wanted to do something a tiny bit different while not straying far from my comfort zone. I opted for grey denim and loved how the soft tones of the top and bottom really seemed to work. Breaking up the subtle tones with a black tee, suede booties and a crossbody gave me a bit of an edge that I really loved. This cozy cardigan sweater is a blogger favorite and I’m in full support of that fact. Oversized but not frumpy and available in an array of colors, it’s a definite closet-must for me. I’ve already ordered my second color {mustard} because it’s that good. I am also super obsessed with these black Louise et Cie heeled booties that I snagged from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I was excited to finally be able to break them in! They’re so much more comfortable than I expected and I can’t wait to put them with a suede skirt and turtleneck for work. My outfit truly made me feel equal parts cozy and cute which definitely counts as a win in my book. 🙂

On another note, it’s FRIDAY! This week went by SO FREAKING SLOW. Maybe it was working from home every day or learning to deal with 2 dogs in the house or maybe I’m just severely in need of some real Vitamin D but whatever the reason, I couldn’t be happier that the weekend is almost here. Cheers, babes! xox
