Sometimes I make impulsive decisions when it comes to fashion. I’m sure that a lot of people {at least I HOPE a lot of people} can relate to that. In my everyday life, impulsive is quite the opposite of how I am. Rarely does a decision I make not involve excessive thought or planning AND it usually involves a list of some sort. Lately though, in terms of style, I have let my heart lead me to purchase certain items. Not all of those ‘heart-driven’ moments have been successful. Take this coat (not even close to what I thought it would fit like) and these boots (so not comfy) for example–both went back immediately after arriving on my doorstep. When this oversized fringe coat came in the mail Kyle referred to it as an ‘Appache’ coat, saying it looked very ‘Native’ and also used the word yuck. Wellllllllll not always will everyone agree with a style choice you make and that is totally ok. Being unique and true to what you like is all that really matters! {To be honest, I did make sure he didn’t think I personally looked ugly in it because I draw the line at the hubby hating me in an item!} Since I loved the oversized fit, am a huge fan of all things fringe, and because it the perfect camel color, it is definitely a keeper. It’s not too heavy, so it will be just right for cool but not cold days.

Acting in more of a cardigan role for dinner tonight, I threw it over a thin tank that I tucked into my newest pair of skinnys and added a great suede wedge. Yes, I probably have too many pairs of skinny jeans but this is my first experience with the MOTHER brand so I opted to go with their classic ‘Looker’ jean in a darker wash. Loving them so far and eyeing both this pair and these because who can turn down a good sale!? I can see this coat getting a lot of us and am already planning to wear it paired with a flannel, destructed skinnys, and duck boots for our upcoming trip to the Apple Orchard!
