Fast & Free Leggings (size 4) // Nike Metcon Flyknits (size 8.5 – run 1/2 size small)

I use to do Workout Wednesday posts super consistently. Well, then again I use to ‘blog’ super consistently too. Crazy. Feeling like a broken record saying over and over that now is the time I dive back in to regular posts. And then it still doesn’t happen. So instead, I’ll just tell y’all that I’m fully committed to bringing Workout Wednesday back. This time, with a slightly updated format! This mock-OTF post, THIS 5 Facts post & this random and old running post are 3 of my best-performing posts STILL. So I’m just hoping to give the people what they want 🙂

My personal workout schedule has looked very similar for the past ~2 years and ever since quarantine hit, I’ve been sharing my full workout routines via my Instagram stories. I’ll continue to do that, but with this new Workout Wednesday series I’m also going to share a full workout HERE each week. I like viewing on this format. Likely some of you prefer it, too! The other item I’m adding: answering the top 3 questions from the previous week. My DMs have gotten to be more than 50% fitness-related. Lots of those DMs are redundant. I thought getting the answers written down may save everyone some time. Here we go, babes!

Top 3 Questions of the Week

What app do you use to track your runs?

I (now) have the Garmin Vivoactive 4S after my sweet niece accidentally pulled my Vivoactive 3 Music — that I absolutely LOVED — off my wrist 2 weeks ago, breaking the frame in 2 parts. Picking the 4S was a no-brainer so I could continue to use the GARMIN CONNECT app. I use it to track all my workouts, not just my runs. The app is amazing. I’m m able to build my speed workouts into the app & have them appear on my watch, making this crazy convenient. My heart rate, cadence, elevation gain/loss, etc. is all tracked in the app. You must have a Garmin device to use it, but if you’re a runner — you should be wearing a Garmin watch anyway 😉

Do you have to have a Peloton bike to do Peloton workouts?

Nope. I don’t have the bike but both Kyle & I are huge fans of the subscription. I tried it free for 90 days during quarantine and was hooked, so we now pay $12.99/month for it. Just completed Emma Lovewell’s 4 week #CrushYourCore challenge on Saturday, and yesterday Kyle started Andy Speer’s Total Strength program. I’ve done over 50 classes (not a lot in 4 months, but considering I have a full workout & running program I follow it’s not bad either) and haven’t hated any of them. They’re tough, but in a great way. We do the workouts at home, but you could easily do them in a gym setting as well. Try the app FREE for 30 days!

Do you use a preworkout? If so, what kind?

Yes. I drink a preworkout + BCAA combo every morning before I workout. I’ve been using Alani Nu for a few years now. They offer the best flavor varieties and have a stim-free option I love. My favorite stimulant flavor is Aloha Pineapple and Mango Sorbet is the best stim-free one in my opinion! I like that these were formulated FOR a female BY a female.
